Privacy Policy
Effective: May 19, 2026 · Last updated: May 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Social-Tracker.com (“Social Tracker”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services. By using the services you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign up we receive your email address, name, and profile image from our authentication provider (Clerk).
Usage data. We collect queries you run (e.g. Instagram Reels URLs you look up), watched accounts you add, daily usage counters, and anonymous analytics events used to understand product use.
Device and log data. We automatically collect IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from IP.
Payment data. We do not collect or store payment card details. Subscription payments are handled by Creem.io, our Merchant of Record, and its underlying payment processor (Stripe). We receive only non-sensitive metadata such as your subscription status, plan, billing period, and a customer/subscription identifier.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to: provide and improve the services; enforce usage quotas; deliver transactional emails (digests, billing receipts via Creem); detect abuse and fraud; comply with legal obligations; and run aggregate analytics to understand product use.
3. Third-Party Processors
We share information with the following service providers under contractual data-protection terms:
- Clerk — authentication and identity management.
- Creem.io — Merchant of Record handling subscription payments, taxes, and receipts.
- Stripe — payment processing underlying Creem (we do not interact with Stripe directly).
- Apify — fetching public statistics from Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Resend — transactional and digest email delivery.
- Google Analytics / Tag Manager — usage analytics.
- Railway — application hosting and database operations.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to investigate suspected fraud or abuse.
4. Public Statistics from Third-Party Platforms
Statistics shown on Social-Tracker.com are derived from public data on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. We do not request access to private account information. If you do not want your public data collected, please adjust your privacy settings on the underlying platform.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not work without them.
6. Data Retention
We retain account data while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. Query history and usage events are retained to power historical trend features available to Pro subscribers.
7. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law (including GDPR for EU/UK users and CCPA/CPRA for California residents), you may:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
- Request a portable copy of your data.

EU / UK users have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data-protection supervisory authority if they believe their rights have been violated.
California residents: we do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under the CCPA/CPRA. You also have the right to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of sensitive personal information.
8. International Transfers
Our service providers operate in multiple jurisdictions. By using the services you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States.
